Connecting a Telegram bot - daily summary and content approvals from your phone

Create a bot with BotFather, enter the Bot Token and Chat ID on the Connections page, and get a daily 10:00 summary, content approvals and lead status.

19 Aug 2026

The Telegram bot is the convenient way to work with Bambook from your phone: a daily summary at 10:00, one-tap content approvals, lead and campaign status, and quick commands such as /today, /pending and /leads.

Open the Telegram Bot card

In the marketing department go to Integrations and click the "Telegram Bot" card title to expand it (cards are collapsed by default).

Create a bot in Telegram

In the Telegram app search for @BotFather, send it /newbot, give your bot a name and receive the Bot Token. Keep it handy - you will need it in a moment.

Start a chat with the bot and find the Chat ID

Send any message to the bot you created (to open a conversation). Then open https://api.telegram.org/bot{TOKEN}/getUpdates in your browser (replace {TOKEN} with your token) and copy the chat_id from the response.

Enter the details in Bambook

In "Step 2 - enter details" paste the Bot Token and the Chat ID and click Connect Telegram. You will see "Telegram connected successfully!".

Check that it works

After connecting, a Test button appears that sends a test message to your Telegram. Received it? Everything is connected. To disconnect use Disconnect.

Note: For the commands (/today, /pending, /leads) to work a webhook must be registered - "Step 3" in the card shows a ready-to-copy command. This is a system setting; if you are not the system administrator, contact support and we will do it for you.

Tip: Seeing "Bot Token and Chat ID are required"? One of the fields is empty. Make sure you copied the full token (it is long and contains a colon).
