Syncing leads to Google Sheets

Want your leads in a spreadsheet too, for reports or to share with someone who does not work in Bambook? The Google Sheets sync keeps a live sheet in your Google account: a new lead is added, a changed lead is updated, and a deleted lead leaves the sheet - within seconds, without pressing anything. Converted customers stay in the sheet too.

Only the business owner can turn the sync on or change it.

Connect the Google account

In the menu open Connections, open the "Google" card and click Connect with Google. On Google's screen allow every permission - without access to Drive files the sync cannot write to the sheet.

Bambook only gets access to files it created itself or that you picked for it - not the rest of your Drive.

Turn the sync on

In Sales open Leads and click the Google Sheets button (or: Import / Export → the Google Sheets tab). Switch it on and choose:

• New spreadsheet - Bambook creates a spreadsheet in your Drive and fills it with all your leads.
• Existing spreadsheet - pick a spreadsheet from your Drive. Bambook adds its own tab and leaves the other tabs alone. Only the person who connected the Google account can use this option.

What is in the sheet

The same columns as the export file: name, phone, email, status, product, source, campaign and creation date, and last a "Bambook ID" column that identifies each lead. Renaming a stage, product or source - or switching to Hebrew - updates the whole sheet.

When something stops

The Google Sheets tab shows when the sheet was last updated and, if something stopped, how to fix it:

• Google access was revoked - reconnect on the Connections page, and the sync picks up where it stopped.
• The sheet can't be reached (deleted or unshared) - click Choose another spreadsheet.
• Bambook's columns were moved - the sync stops rather than write to the wrong place. Click Rebuild the tab (Bambook's columns are rewritten; columns you added to the right are not touched) or choose another spreadsheet.
