Receiving leads by Webhook and linking them to a source and a product

Connect a form, landing page, Make or Zapier to a Webhook URL and leads go straight into the pipeline. With source each lead is linked to the right source, and with product_id to the product and its tab.

A Webhook is a URL any form or automation can send a lead to. The lead goes straight into the pipeline. If you also send the source, the lead is linked to that source and shows with it in the leads table. If you also send the product (product_id), it is linked to the product and shows up under the product's tab.

Create a Webhook

In the sales department, on the Automations page, open the Webhooks tab and click New Webhook. Give it a name (for example "Website contact form") and click Create. When no source is sent, this name is used as the leads' source.

Copy the URL

Click How to connect? next to the Webhook. The window that opens shows the URL with a copy button, a sample payload and the list of fields. Only name and phone are required.

Add a source (if it does not exist yet)

There are six built-in sources (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Website, Landing page, Meta), and you can add your own - for example "Affiliate marketing - Or". On the All leads page click the settings button next to the filters, choose Lead sources and click Add source. Give it a name (and optionally an icon and colour) and click Create. Every source, built-in or your own, has a 5-digit id.

Copy the source id

In the "How to connect?" window, the Your source ids list shows each source's id (for example 27594 for Facebook) with a copy button. The same id appears in the Lead sources window. Click the question mark next to the heading for an animated walkthrough of the whole flow.

Send the id in the source field

In your form, Make or Zapier add a field named source to the request, with the id you copied as its value. For example: "source": "27594". In an Elementor or Wix form you can add it as a hidden field with a fixed value.

Note: Linking to a source only works with an exact match: the 5-digit id exactly as shown (safest with the copy button), or the source's exact name - the whole name, letter for letter. Any other value is not rejected: the lead is saved and the text you sent shows as its source, but it is not linked to a source from the list.

Add the product (if it does not exist yet)

To also link leads to a product, the product has to exist in the system. On the Products page click Add product and save (see Adding a product or service). Every product gets its own permanent id, which stays the same even if you rename the product.

Copy the product id

In the same "How to connect?" window, the Your product ids list shows a short 8-character id next to each product (for example 78880d24) with a copy button. There is an animated walkthrough behind its question mark too.

Send the id in the product_id field

Add a field named product_id to the request, with the id you copied as its value. For example: "product_id": "78880d24".

Note: This also only links with an exact match: the id exactly as it appears in the list, or the product's exact name - the whole name, letter for letter (upper/lower case and double spaces do not matter). Part of a name or a mistyped id does not link: the lead is still saved, but without a product, and the request history shows the warning "Product id not found".

Tip: Prefer ids over names. If you ever rename the source or the product, a form that sends the old name stops linking - the id never changes.

Check that the lead was linked

Click Send test or submit a real lead from the form, then open the Webhook's Request history. On the leads page the lead shows with its source (filter by it under "All sources") and under the product's tab (if the product has no tab yet, open one in Manage tabs).
